About Us

 

BaxterBoyd training programmes and events are run jointly by programme directors Dr Cathy Baxter and Prof Alan Boyd. Both programme directors are experienced and currently practising independent pharmaceutical physicians with a strong interest in postgraduate education and who actively promote the academic development of Pharmaceutical Medicine and its accreditation as a recognised medical specialty.

 

This bespoke training programme has been specifically developed to help candidates prepare for the Diploma in Pharmaceutical Medicine examination, success in which is now a requirement for the completion of PMST.

In 2010 only 42% of candidates taking the Diploma in Pharmaceutical Medicine achieved a pass. This compares with a pass rate of 80% for candidates who attended all seven modules of the BaxterBoyd Diploma in Pharmaceutical Medicine Programme 2010, one of whom also passed with distinction.
